Who we are
The name “KUSCH” was quite simply our two last names put together – then again “kusch” in Swiss German means “are you coming?” for a drink or a dinner. We are, after all, best friends first and foremost, best friends who love good meals and want to invite all others to share in those experiences.
Patrik Kuhn
Patrik started his career in the IT industry before applying his skills to the world of hospitality. He gained his hospitality knowledge with Kempinski Hotels, Europe's oldest luxury hotel group. He has worked in Switzerland, Germany and Qatar. His roles have included Front of House and Rooms, Food & Beverage, Catering and Banqueting. In addition to his years of experience in providing the highest quality service to guests and leading teams, Patrik is a graduate of one of the world's finest hospitality institutions, Glion. Here he honed his hospitality management skills and gained a unique financial perspective. His analytical skills were put to use as an analyst at Cushman & Wakefield, one of the world's largest real estate firms, where he researched the hotel market and provided financial valuations, project development and advisory services to clients. Patrik has been part of the management team of la baracca st. moritz for many years. This has provided him with the necessary entrepreneurial experience to launch KUSCH.
Men Schneider
Men's entire life has had roots in the international hospitality industry. He began his career graduating from an apprenticeship at the luxurious Badrutt's Palace Hotel St. Moritz, and then went on to earn a degree in Hospitality Management from a prestigious school - Les Roches. Throughout his career, he’s travelled around the world to learn the ins and outs of cultural diversity and management. His far voyages have been serving as source of inspiration for unique ideas, concepts and perspectives that he brings with him to every project he’s part of. Undaunted by the unknown experiences, he’s worked in remote places from Cambodia, through the Seychelles to China, where for two years he was a member of the management team responsible for the entire country’s Kempinski hotel portfolio. But apart from this global worldview that he brings back to his home of St. Moritz, he’s also gained a great deal of experience in his home country, Switzerland. Prior to starting KUSCH, Men worked at a beloved local venture la baracca st. moritz, as well as the luxurious resort Gstaad’s most iconic hotel – Gstaad Palace.
